This trip was my first time overseas. Excited. Nervous. Curious. These are the top three words I would use to describe my pre-departure emotions. Deciding to study abroad was an 'ah ha' moment. One day in class of my freshman year I realized that there is so much going on in the world that I am unaware about. I believe knowledge is power. That day I contacted the study abroad office, and before I knew it I was boarding the plane for Londonderry, Northern Ireland, UK for ten days. This was a trip of so many firsts. Besides going abroad, it was a real experience of fish n' chips, an authentic St. Patrick's day parade, and bold cultural disputes.
